Block Disposable Emails
Block and put a stop to unwanted Disposable Email Addresses (DEA) and Disposable Email Domains (DED), with our expert master blacklist.
Many forum and wiki administrators dislike DEAs because they obfuscate the identity of the members and make maintaining member control difficult. As an example, trolls, vandals and other users that may have been banned may use throwaway e-mail addresses to get around attempts to ban them. (Net Patrol, 2004).
Looking for a Free Disposable Email Address?
Sorry, we're in the business of blocking and not distributing free disposable email addresses. Mailinator is a popular free email service with no registration required.
What's the Problem with Disposable Email Addresses?
Do you have a website, forum or blog with a registration or lead collection page? Do you you get bombarded with SPAM requests which pollute your once clean customer database? We had the same problem and over the years started to build our own internal blacklist. Eventually we discovered that we were not alone, other companies were having the exact same problem. There are hundreds of databases and lists dedicated to blocking incoming SPAM to email addresses, but only a small handful of sites that are dedicated to saving websites from SPAM user accounts. Ours is one of the only web services that does not require registration.
Why Should I Use This Service?
Firstly, we do not have anything against disposable email services. This technology has only arisen in response to unethical companies and websites spamming users with no regard for opt-in email policies or personal privacy. Our service is intended for use by companies or serious individuals who have or suspect that they will be targeted by the misuse of these disposable email services. There are other email services that have the same goal as us, and we'd recommend them all (within reason) to help protect your website registration process.
There are other solutions to preventing SPAM registrations, CAPTCHA is one of them. However, these services only serve as deterrents for nuance users and can dissuade genuine users from registering for your services. Detecting fake subscribers should be the responsibility of the webmaster and not its users. We can reassure those who are worried about the personal privacy or users and email address passed to us, as we do not record or share any of the email addresses passed to us. Our API also has a domain only option.
Currently 6,155 domains running disposable mail services have been detected, (last added domain to block is v##mail.hu at 2012-05-20 21:18:53).
How do I Integrate it?
